How to Fit and Remove a Stone Island Badge (No Sewing)
Share
On most Stone Island garments, the badge is removable: it attaches without sewing and can be changed in a few minutes. Here are the general principles, and the mistakes to avoid so you don’t damage your sleeve.
Before you start
- Check that your garment does have a removable badge (fastened with buttons or slots): not all models do.
- Work on a clean surface with good lighting.
- Never force it: if it resists, the fastening isn’t going the right way.
Removing the old badge
First look at how it is attached: find the buttons or attachment points on the inside of the sleeve. Undo them gently, without pulling on the fabric. If the badge is damaged or stuck, it’s better to take your time than to rip out the fastening.
Fitting the new badge
- Line the badge up with the existing slots or attachment points, design the right way up.
- Pass the fastenings through to the correct side of the fabric.
- Lock them on the inside, then check that the badge sits flat and is well centred.
The exact procedure depends on the badge model: follow the shop’s detailed installation guide, step by step.
Mistakes to avoid
- Pulling on the fabric to force the opening.
- Fitting the badge crooked or upside down.
- Over-tightening the fastenings, which marks the sleeve.
